Dr. Bilal Philips has a Ph. D. in Islamic Studies from Univ. of Wales ( in addition to Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Saudi Arabia). He is a well known scholar and lecturer. He is the founder of Islamic Online University. He is a Canadian who was born in Jamaica. He converted to Islam in 1972.
