Yasir Qadhi (Qazi) (also known as Abu Ammaar) is an American Muslim scholar, born in in Houston, TX. However, he later moved with family to Jeddah Saudi Arabia where he completed his primary and secondary education.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, he went to Saudi Arabia to pursue Islamic Studies. He obtained Bachelors of Arts degree  in Hadith and Masters in Islamic Theology (Aqeedah) from Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

Currently, he is pursuing a doctoral degree in Islamic Studies at Yale University
